Pros
The leaders at Assured Guaranty have all been there forever, usually in the scope of 20 years. They're smart, savvy and interesting people. One or two of them are your typical chauvinistic, egotistical washouts. But as a whole, they're a solid group.
Cons
Sadly, most people working here at the AVP/VP level are a joke. It seems that luck opposed to ability has landed a lot of people in jobs that they will never leave, regardless of their incompetence, because they are sincerely not smart or educated enough to land another job. And since everyone has been there forever, there's somewhat of 10+ year cult that is completely impenetrable - regardless of how poor the decisions they make are.
