Pros
Finding a large company that offers benefits in Springfield Ohio is a difficult feat, but Assurant is a nice place to gain experience in an office setting if you do not have any. They also offer a lot of free training courses that you can take through the company, and they also have very felxible scheduling.
Cons
If start at Assurant at Entry Level, be prepared to stay there. They rarely, if ever, promote from with in. However, if you enter in as management, you may have a better chance. Also, there were many incentive prograams available when I first started in 2005, but as the years progressed they slowly did away with all of them, as well as changed the company's health insurance package. They still expected a large amount of overtime, but no longer made the idea of all that work appealing.
