Pros

Difficult to name any pros, other than there are some really good and talented people stuck there for one reason or another. Benefits were comparable and decent, although there were obvious expense saving moves related to benefits, which negatively impacted employees - unlimited PTO (no banked hours to have to pay out to terminated ees) and reduction in pension contribution as examples. Some opportunities for remote work, but that too was being ripped away from some individuals. And to enforce it, rather than being flexible and trusting it's employees (adult professionals), they started watching and counting badge swipes! See? Difficult to find pros because they are all tainted.

Cons

The tone is set at the top, and the tone is not good. The culture is toxic. There is a lot of lip service by a leadership team that doesn't know what they are doing. How the Board hasn't caught on to the fact that this organization is in self destruct mode is beyond me. Associated doesn't recognize or try to keep the true talent they have, including those with significant institutional knowledge. A lot of talent is walking out the door for better jobs, better pay and a heck of a lot less stress. And leadership could care less, because everyone is replaceable. It's definitely an environment of not what you know, but WHO you know. Despite what they say leadership doesn't promote from within unless it is a "yes man/woman" or it makes them look good in the moment. Everyone in SVP and above positions are coming from outside, and most are from US Bank and other large banks (not regional). Those hired to replace the talent that continues to leave are being paid significantly more than those that left. Turning the other cheek to those that were loyal for only as long as they could be is costing the organization some large dollars. The bank is constantly restructuring which is a sure sign they do not know what they are doing. The constant change was extremely difficult to deal with and only added to the stress. Technology support was truly sub par, and has always been an issue there. Associated doesn't live their values. In my time there, I constantly saw leadership that didn't practice the organization's values. Relentless focus on people? How about relentless focus on THEMSELVES! Listen and then act? Absolutely not, more like in one ear and out the other.

Pros

I worked in the IT department and felt that everyone was quite willing to help me out whenever necessary. I think they generally do a good job with culture, respecting PTO, and being flexible with appointments.

Cons

Making any changes can be a pain, there are many steps and approvals to get through before you can do anything substantial, this is a bank so security is prioritized heavily, so it makes sense but it is still cumbersome to work through

Pros

Great culture! Company focuses on supporting work/life balance and offers an excellent wellness program. Flexibility offered through option to work hybrid (available for some positions only). Management and executives are down to earth and genuinely care about the employees. Great CRGs for a variety of interests. Care and desire to help local communities. Most employees are super friendly, kind and professional

Cons

As is typical for most big companies, decisions are often made without involving the people who are impacted by the outcomes, and the change is not always easy/the outcome desirable. Some processes are inefficient, systems outdated,
