Pros

I would think that the starting pay is a pro and respectively deserved for the things that we put up with, this agency seems to take on less of the violent clients, has great supervisors, pays 30 cents a mile as mileage reimbursement, you take your trainings and earns certifications through them instead of having to spend thousands of dollars to get them through college, opens opportunities to work as a case manager or rise to become a supervisor, nice co-workers, not much paperwork/easy to fill out, meet-and-greets with clients beforehand, you earn experience with all forms of mental illness and feel satisfied with making a difference, you can refuse client requests without getting into trouble.

Cons

Not much time for a break if you want to be home before 6pm, takes working 32 hours a week for 6 months to get health insurance (if you can get those hours even when signed on for 40 hours), clients calling out for little things so you lose hours, you still have to pay a little bit for the classes for your certifications which is deducted from your biweekly paycheck, you have to pay for gas nearly weekly because you drive so much, you feel emotionally drained.
