Pros

Fully remote, staff is professional and nice.

Cons

Starting salary is egregious. The amount of work expected each day is completely impossible. It was immediately clear to me that management only cares about the quantity, not the quality, of medical insurance appeals. My mental health plummeted a few months into this job when I realized the only way to meet production requirements was to work late into the night, every night. I once had a week in which I had so many "priority" appeals that I had to work until midnight for several days. This job made me stressed and depressed. For $56k, it simply was not worth it.

Pros

Good base pay, flexible hours, hybrid/remote accommodations

Cons

Recent leadership turnover has made it difficult to maintain consistent organizational goals. While the benefits package is standard, the lack of performance-based bonuses for the wider team, especially when contrasted with executive-level payouts, can be discouraging. I would also like to see the company make a more concerted effort to improve diversity in management, as the current executive team is pretty much all men and mostly white.
