Pros
Really collaborative BD team, excellent work life balance, strong mentoring and training from senior management, great feedback culture which is led by the firm's management and opportunities for progression.
Cons
Support staff get treated as sub-par employees to fee-earners. 70-80% of partners and lawyers are disgustingly rude and condescending to support staff on the regular. This is a regressive way to think as top talent won't stick around in that culture, and Ashurst has a negative reputation for this in the market globally. If you can't stick out constantly being treated as less competent, intelligent or worthy as someone who has a law degree, Ashurst might not be the right place for you...
