Pros

Generous PTO, reasonable benefit premiums, flexibility (depending on department), laid back work environment, training, many good people to work with, lots of corporate events (to try at creating corporate culture)

Cons

Monotonous work, takes a long time to train, lots of us vs. them mentality between departments and locations, poor management (in some departments...not all), poor pay particularly for Brainerd, MN associates, upper mgmt either doesn't know or ignores cross-department issues, 401k match could be better, stressful environments with little flexibility (not all departments), some departments/people/locations have work from home abilities but it's not universal

Pros

Excellent manager and team with streamlined processes. Benefits are greater than what I have seen in a majority of other businesses. The IT team generally moves very quick to resolve issues. HR/Hiring team was very quick and informative.

Cons

Only have two monitors when three would offer more efficiency. Although many tasks have SOPs and guides, some guides might not be updated (IE I found a guide that had the incorrect naming convention for a file). Any study materials needed to obtain relevant professional credentials are not covered by Ascensus. Obtaining relevant professional credentials also does not provide you with any bonus. You must wait a minimum of 12 months in your current position before wanting to change/pursue other job opportunities at Ascensus. The career ladder, at least in the Compliance team, seems rather narrow and limited.
