Pros

It's a fantastic small company with close knit relationships and people that genuinely care about each other.

Cons

As a small company, today's chaotic business climate is just plain scary, although they've weather it well so far.

Pros

-When I joined, Ascend was on the verge of launching it's new product, ElevateAP. I like the work that comes along building, launching, fixing and repeating this process. -Challenging problems. Ascend has quadrupled it's revenue in 4 years, which greats all kinds of fun problems. This is a great place to work if you like fun problems. -Great Customers -Great Colleagues -Fully remote. This isn't for everyone, but it works for me -

Cons

-Ascend is 25 years old. While there is a ton of good and important history, there are still a lot of bad habits that are hard to break. -Specifically, parts of Ascend haven't fully embraced the power and value of modern collaboration toolsets, which can make asynchronous work a challenge.

Pros

There are some good benefits like summer Friday's and lifelong learning reimbursement. The people, outside of the senior leadership team, are some of the nicest and most genuine people I've interacted with at any company.

Cons

Senior leadership. They aren't looking out for their employees. The good benefits are lures for new employees, but once you're in the company they don't care about you. Transparency and openness are rewarded with cold shoulders from senior leadership and eventual layoffs if your thinking isn't in line with theirs. HR does not seem to be there to look out for the employees, they are there to look out for the senior leadership only. "Anonymous" reviews are requested, but rarely are anonymous with comments made by the CEO and COO repeatedly if they are given poor reviews.
