Pros

If you're from a big market (NY/LA) they're willing to pay those prices and offer you a promotion to bring you in.

Cons

I only worked here for about 5-6 month. If I were a betting man I would say the few positive reviews this place has are planted here. I came from a pretty creative agency prior to working here in the LA market. They claimed I didn't have to move to Virginia and I was enticed by the idea of working early and finishing early. I played myself by thinking that would be the case. I worked 6AM PT until well past EOD my time, and they were 3 hours ahead.. I don't understand why. I think a lot of people are simultaneously wasting time while also expecting you to be available. I'm currently a CD but when I worked here it was as a Sr Art Director. This is by far the least creative agency I have ever worked at or witnessed. Not to try to sound rude, but it felt like all of the people that were rejected from real agencies settled here. They're delusional to think that a person who came from a NY/LA market would stay here. For my first project no one on the team had done a real shoot before. How is that possible? Oh, because their "work" is stringing together stock footage and adding after effects graphics. Also, everyone here is white. If you're creative and considering this place please reconsider. You'll work MAL hours for school project level work to be surrounded by a ton of good ol boys

Pros

Loved the "Work from Anywhere" model (no longer the policy) Really good, kind, best-in-class people + talent across all departments. Initially very competitive salaries The original vision of the agency is very compelling, and recruiters were charismatic and seemed to really care.

Cons

Unfocused, unclear leadership, paired with intense micromanagement and little to no transparency from the top. ECD/founder has strong preference for his own ideas and ices out the world-class creative talent he brings in - this makes all the work feel the same, because it's essentially written by the same guy. Optics > actual culture. Extremely challenging to develop professionally or move beyond the initially appealing salary offers. Actively disregards employee concerns with attrition rate / turnover. Employees/leadership know to keep their mouths shut, smile, and say "yes" if they want to keep their jobs - plenty of examples of people who mysteriously 'parted ways' after being too vocal in their feedback or dissent.
