If you don’t do as implicitly expected, life will be tough for you. Forget plans during the week. Expect to work late hours. Good HR practices are not implemented. Expect to see colleagues crying from time to time! If a partner or senior associate is ‘difficult’ to work with nothing will be done if their billable hours are on point. There is a culture of fear and intimidation. Nobody causes any issues as they will be concerned about future implications on their career, with the firm, or any other law firm.
