Pros
Private room, nice staff (not all though), food was decent, gym facilities were good
Note - this is at the camp for full-time Blackwater Mine staff
Cons
tl;dr - regardless as an operator/office staff, you can be exposed to dangerous hazards such as silica, lead, irritative chemicals.
1. Silica was all over some offices, making indoor air quality poor.
2. Improper protection/PPE against lead products + irritative chemicals.
You may develop cancer, reproductive issues, neuropathy damage, etc. You may not feel it now, but it will could arise 20-30 years down the road. In short, management doesn't have proper protocols to protect against some of these dangerous chemicals, effectively exposing you to these agents.
If you also care about your career, please avoid this place. Management has a history of terminating during probation with no reason. Some potential reasons may involve poor culture fit, lack of experience, etc. In short, if senior management doesn't like you for the smallest of reasons, you're fired.
