Pros
- This company will give you a significant amount of experience in commercial real estate given the many different aspects that you are exposed to. The rule of thumb we always talked about was one year of experience at Armada equates to about three years of experience in other shops. - The work can be demanding, but I found it very rewarding. Very team oriented and you make strong bonds with the folks in the trenches with you. - Senior Management is very accessible and open to listening to any concerns and actually addressing them. - Very employee-centric. Great training programs. - Five years with this company served as an incredible career catalyst. There is opportunity to rise very quickly even with the firm becoming larger. Even though I left for another opportunity, I could just as easily find myself back here any day and would recommend the firm to anyone.
Cons
- The work schedule can be demanding at times. While this in general can be a con, I found that most of the folks were very proud of how hard they worked, including myself. - Given the nature of the business, you will likely feel undercompensated at least on your base salary in the early stages (first year for me). Have faith in the bonus structure and know that if you stick it out, you will be compensated. I felt very fairly compensated after my first year and there is potential for a high level of compensation if you can ride the ranks.
