Pros
The company pays management well, Benefits are good, Safety is a key area of concern with few injuries. Customer service ladies work hard, but too many changes and low pay. Fellow hourly employees like to help others. Clean - uniforms can be purchased for ow cost. Central Purchasing works hard to improve relationship with plants. Recent change in food service at a few plants is a good sign. New CEO seems to care about work / life balance. Fellow employees care about each other and seem to work well together.
Cons
Hourly pay for employees is average at best. No actual bonuses are paid out. Plants can never make goals. Plant Managers get their bonus because they are on a different program. Management is too focused on margins and cost savings not the actual long term success and quality of product of the company - new CEO is trying hard to make changes but long term local executives keep their friends in key positions so no real change will occur. Very hot work place. Safety supplies are held by supervisors and not handed out unless you beg for them. Supervisors disappear in meetings all day long so we have lack of direction or supervisors run out to Wal-Mart to go shopping for who knows what. To slow to make products improvements.
