- If you’re a manager and have an Argos Contract then you can get full sick pay for 6 months - Fun work at times
Cons
- Hours are very short so lots of work and hardly any colleague hours so you do more than manager jobs. - Heavy items, like 3 part trampolines, 65kg washing machines, 25kg BBQs, patio sets, heavy air fryers. Kills your back - Hostile atmosphere between Argos and Sainsbury’s despite the two being one - Strict time constraints for getting deliveries away - Company have distanced themselves and now there’s no thanks to colleagues, no Christmas presents any more, terrible bonuses once a year, nothing positive. - Made lots of redundancies in management roles, no progression any more in Argos. Pushing everyone into Sainsbury’s for career progression only now - Constant abuse as they are cracking down on returns so customers shout and insult you multiple times a day - Unrealistic targets to meet for Argos Care etc - Expect you to work and be on call despite being at home
