Pros
Very social job, working with customers and helping them pick out the right products feels amazing Technology makes things like click and collect orders very easy to carry out
Cons
All customer-facing employees are expected to sell financial services, but are not given any commission. A quota is expected to be met which can be unrealistic on slow weeks. One of the managers was obsessed with pleasing the line manager and would make us tidy up the stock shelves to the point of it seeming like everyone in the store has OCD. This wasted a lot of time which could have been spent on more important matters. Management took an entire evening to determine whether a suspicious refund I fulfilled was legitimate, and then punished me for not being able to do the same checks on the spot despite how long it took them to do it themselves. My contract with them was closed before I could even be eligible for an employee discount card.
