Quick Promotions for Top Performers -- it's not rare for the top performers to be promoted every 6 months Deeply ingrained strong work ethic culture Great for Programmers that want to acquire management skills quickly Flexible hours Results Driven Company Company will want to cross train you with many skills and broaden your line of business knowledge You were never be laid off for financial reasons. Company is cash rich and has plenty of money to reward people who are irreplaceable. Some teams have outstanding leadership Top developers get placed on internal development and rarely work over time Company events at least once a month or so Company generally hires smart people Many minorities You can schedule a meeting with anyone in the company even without good reason The following can either be positive or negative depending on your perspective: Must be willing to learn large amounts of business knowledge and open to learning management skills even as a developer Easy to hide under the radar, but you will be promoted slowly Unless you are exceptionally bad you will never be fired High performers will be assigned 50% more work, and given managerial responsibilities along with their increased pay checks You will always stay busy unless you are on put on a team that doesn't need you, which will be correctly in a short period of time.
