Pros

Not many, but chance to work on a product with existing customers & a concrete use-case.

Cons

Gross mismanagement. Lack of vision, sticking to & executing roadmaps, haphazardly changing goals & direction on a weekly basis. Authoritarian leadership style, and inept leadership to boot. Authoritarian leadership can work if leader/s are qualified, informed and knowledgeable. Chaotic work dynamics.

Pros

Entry-level roles like Research Analyst are accessible to candidates without much prior experience or education. The work is highly repetitive and requires minimal critical thinking or problem solving.

Cons

It becomes apparent quite quickly that staff in South Africa, India, and the Philippines are viewed primarily as cheap labour. The only reason operations are based in these regions is to minimise costs. Not to invest in or develop talent. For South African staff, the enforced Australian working hours often feel unnecessary. Especially for roles that don’t directly support customers. While you’ll pick up some surface-level property knowledge, most of the day-to-day work involves low-skill tasks like counting building features, taking screenshots, and copying information from property websites into internal systems. The company lacks a clear business strategy. Many projects are rushed out to impress potential clients without proper validation. When customers cancel, teams are redirected to the next unproven idea, leading to a cycle of rework and uncertainty. Job security is fragile. Without a concrete roadmap, even in very short-term, and with ongoing wasteful spending, budget constraints often result in reactive layoffs when cash flow tightens. The company’s instability is evident in the mass departure of skilled staff, including the former senior staff and several engineers who left shortly after joining, realising they had been misled. Apart from a few managers, most of the leadership team consists of the CEO’s family members or close acquaintances (e.g. brother-in-law, daughter, daughter’s boyfriend, daughter’s friends). While family-run businesses can work, the lack of experience in strategy and execution is a serious issue. There is no real company culture. Everything feels chaotic, with priorities shifting constantly and little sense of direction.
