Pros

Salary wasn’t bad but the hierarchy think they own you for paying you what you’re worth…

Cons

Project Director and Project Manager woefully under qualified for their roles. Flagged up the need for support in writing which was ignored. Only people valued (ie, don’t get sacked) are the ones who are too scared to push back when they know something is wrong or they feel exploited. They are also the worse paid so their value is also in their low cost. “Leadership” wants to control you on a personal level and doesn’t like it when they realise they can’t. Project didn’t have a programme and so there was no coordination of trades. I did a catch up programme for the mechanical contractor which was ignored by the PD & PM and therefore by everybody else. Health & Safety is dreadful and accidents are avoided by luck, not judgement. Team members are publicly not supported in project issues and so therefore left exposed meaning the subcontractors run the daily activities. The PD & PM would encourage conflict within the team and refuse to take responsibility for project failings and individuals performances. A bullying and playground culture is at the heart of Ardmore Groups DNA.
