Pros

Flexible work environment and supportive immediate teammates. Opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale operations.

Cons

Significant gaps in operational accountability and performance management. Inconsistent standards and lack of urgency around KPI ownership. Processes and workflows often felt reactive instead of structured or scalable. Communication and alignment across teams could be challenging. High performers may become frustrated by uneven expectations and execution standards.

Pros

Good benefits and free housing.

Cons

No regards for mental and physical health. Lack of communication between supervisors, management, and seasonal employees. The pay is extremely low for management. You can make more money as a seasonal employee because of tips and overtime. As a full time employee, they want you to work absurdly long hours six days a week (and sometimes seven times a week) because they don't pay full time employees overtime. Also, the lack of housing in Big Bend is awful. They put men and women together in one apartment, have women's and men's dorms, nasty trailers (I think they are gone now), and if they put you in Terlingua for living quarters, the water always has to be boiled. I don't know what is worse: lack of workers, long hours, or the pay.
