Pros

Aquent offers a strong foundation for employment, particularly when it comes to culture. The company is commendably diverse and is slowly growing in its impact on the industry. They offer an appealing benefits package, including their unlimited PTO policy and ELF fund.

Cons

However, the day-to-day experience is often undermined by management inconsistency. The major frustration is a severe imbalance in recognition. You are quickly criticized for the one mistake you make, while the one hundred good things you accomplish receive no acknowledgment whatsoever. This lack of positive reinforcement is tied to a broader need for people leaders to step up. Managers need to focus more on creating clear growth opportunities for team members and actively listening to their needs and development goals. The Benefits department is a prime example of a team that is overworked, understaffed, and consistently undervalued, often lacking recognition for their substantial efforts. While better pay would certainly help with retention, prioritizing their concerns and offering consistent support is even more critical.

Pros

Some nice intelligent educated coworkers

Cons

Lack of transperancy, job placement wages stagnant for over 5 years with no raise, after finishing multiple contracts and bringing them thousands of dollars with my labor, no follow up on new positions. Finally contacted me about one position I would be perfect for then ghosted me. Blatant ageism using words like "junior" or "great position for recent grad". Had one horrific experience with them where they reached out to me to work on a team that loved me/loved my work - when I inquired if there was any flexibility in the pay, was suddenly told I wasn't qualified. Then I see the same listing reposted as "junior" and great for a recent grad.
