* under the market compensation * bad culture (in a year, I have seen 7 people getting fired by the CEO) * management underestimating technical challenges

Thank you for the feedback, both positive and negative. We agree - great mission, team and product! A top reason why folks come and join us is for the mission to make fish farming and food production more sustainable. Regarding our startup growing pains: we have made a number of improvements this past year: instituting a Culture Council, more thoughtful interviewing, objective compensation bands (and adjusting early employees), and hiring a Head of Product. We haven't always gotten it right, but I am committed to improving. We make a process of soliciting feedback regularly, and while we know we have work to do, we were heartened by the feedback employees shared recently in our engagement survey with a significant improvement in our employee NPS. But I know there is more to do and personally am excited to work with the great team we have to continue to improve as a professional company. Happy to continue the discussion offline and hear additional improvement suggestions - thanks again for the feedback.

Pros

Coworkers in the Eng dept are the sharpest people in the company by a mile, the foot soldiers carrying us forward

Cons

- Aquabyte were category leaders several years ago, today they are dead last. Missing out on enterprise deals and the inability to set the market ablaze to own market share. Inability of the CEO to make any type of decision besides make up work of a 1000+ scenarios of what ifs - Harassment common in the work place. At least 6 people left due to a higher up harassing multiple people through comments on physical features, abusive language, and lying on performance reports to show specific people are the problem. Yes, he even harassed multiple people not on his team - No more VC funding bound as the tap has dried up - Rounds of layoffs again - Raises were given to people making the least at the company, with a standard 2% raise. No increase of equity for any of the boots on the ground, doesn't matter since they are on their way out. They will low ball you with an offer - Complete disconnect on vision of the company and unity of teams from the US vs Norway office being a constant theme - I think every person has a title of a manager at the company yet 90% of these titles do not manage anyone
