Pros

- High-growth company: Aputure is one of the fastest growing companies in the already growing film technology industry, and has evolved several times over - Fast-paced Energy: Employees are never lacking for new projects to tackle, preventing personal stagnation, and encouraging everyone to constantly be growing their skillsets by improving the company - Friendly office environment - The growing office and employees are all very welcoming and collaborative. There is an emphasis on creating and maintaining a cohesive and friendly company culture - Ability to constantly experiment with new business and marketing tactics - Aputure is on the cutting edge of product development and design. Employees get to be part of a company that pours many resources into R&D and constantly innovates. - International Organization with Colleagues in Asia, Europe, & South America - Exposure to a wide variety of creative individuals, both inside and outside the company

Cons

- The fast-paced work environment can be too intense for those who are not ready to take advantage of the opportunities and dedicate solid time & energy - Not all processes are formally cemented in place, but this leaves room for improvement and input from employees. This does mean that experimentation does need to occur to find the best methods for success

Pros

casual and comfy attire is welcome, great place for people with no work life balance.

Cons

All managers and upper management are men; there are three women in this office as a whole. Women are routinely undervalued, excluded, and left without much agency. Very few paths for growth unless you can be buddies with the important folks. Harassment is not uncommon and usually perpetrated by people in management as soon as they feel comfortable with you. The VP has often expressed that HR is a hindrance to him, and especially on business trips he loves to point out when HR is not present. The racial diversity leaves much to be desired as well. Any experience or point of view from anyone who isn't a man is disregarded. The company is very understaffed leaving employees to do the jobs of multiple people with no relief in sight. Many empty promises made. Management is inept, inconsistent, and embarrassingly out of touch. So many projects are left incomplete such as any budget or really any financial planning. A project one day is completely different the next on a whim, leaving everyone to catch up to try to make things happen. Processes and structures such as goal planning and meetings are subject to change every quarter. Decisions are only made behind closed doors by men in shorts trying to see who can speak the loudest. This place is a mess that needs improvement in every conceivable way.
