-Raises and benefits changes occur only when management notices that they are not "competitive" with industry and are desperate to hire -Continuous layoffs...when economy is tough, US employees get laid off, then there's frenetic hiring when key positions need to be filled. Then, those who remain get to pick up A LOT of slack and have to train new hires -Myriad of "processes," some make work more streamlined and understandable, but several make it hard to do a good job (but make things *appear* to be "managed")
