The team here are knowledgeable and always willing to share their expertise. I've learned a lot working with Appstem, and there's a truly collaborative environment that makes problem-solving much easier. One of the biggest benefits is the schedule flexibility. They trust employees to get their work done without micromanaging, which creates a much healthier work environment. You're given freedom to manage your time and priorities, which I really appreciate.

If I had to identify an area for improvement, it would be that the team's passion for their work can sometimes lead to emotionally charged discussions. To be clear - this is never in a toxic, degrading, or unprofessional way. People genuinely care about what they're building, and that intensity occasionally shows in debates or decision-making conversations. For some, this level of engagement might feel like a lot, but personally, I'd rather work with people who care deeply than those who are just going through the motions.

Appstem is a great place to work, with a strong company culture. The CTO always has your back and is incredibly knowledgeable. You’re trusted to get the work done with a high degree of autonomy. If you encounter any roadblocks, you’re encouraged to ask questions, and coworkers will go out of their way to help. Both the CEO and CTO are honest, approachable, and were a big part of why I chose to work here.

The only thing I can think of is some technical debt, but that’s pretty typical at most companies and is already on backlog to be addressed. No complaints other than that
