Pros

This summer will mark 10 yrs for me at Applied. I started my career in the Customer Support division, and have since moved into the Sales organization. I have watched this company transform from a company that was doing well, but not innovating, to becoming the absolute leader within the industry in every aspect. Applied chose to reinvent itself about 6-7 yrs ago and it has been revolutionary. I am so excited about the direction the company is going, and am quite proud to be at the tip of that spear in front of customers & prospects. I have seen an internal culture change as well - employee satisfaction continues to rise, customer satisfaction within the software industry is unheard of, retention remains unmatched. As the company has continued to grow, both organically and through acquisition, there have been countless new opportunities for advancement. It is fun working for a company on the move. I am really glad to be making my career path here at Applied.

Cons

With the organization growing and expanding so rapidly, it is hard to get this message into the DNA of every employee. But despite that, the leadership from top down is committed to follow through. With Applied being like a freight ship it just takes a bit longer to make that full turn, but i feel that the critical mass has been reached and there's no stopping our momentum now.

Pros

The teammates that I worked with were generally really great. Decent opportunity for learning

Cons

The benefits were not great, 3 year vesting to get a 401k match, insurance was sub par, time off was below average. In addition to this the management team is having a lot of turnover along with getting rid of people systematically (or what feels targeted). This is following some acquisitions that could have been great but because the teams are all operating in silos with what feels like no cohesive direction from the senior leadership. The products that are being sold are very old feeling/looking with no real changes on the horizon. Pair this with high level executive leadership changes that are pointing to a potential sale of the company which likely will come with more changes and loss of employment.
