Pros
The children you get to work with are amazing and their families are amazing. The work you do is very rewarding especially when you see your client overcome a target they’ve been working on for awhile.
Cons
Training pay is not equal to the amount of work you do. Training is only supposed to be for 7 weeks but can go up to 12 weeks. It is not guaranteed 40 hours a week. When clients go to speech, you do not get paid for those 30 minutes; if you have two clients in one day that have speech, you loose one hour of pay for the day. If your client calls out, you loose 4 hours of your 8 hour shift.
