Pros

The products are actually "better for you"

Cons

Working at Applegate eats away at your mental health. There is just enough "diversity" to check the box, but there is blatant discrimination. There is no culture, unless you consider toxicity to be culture. They claim to be "progressive", but it's all for show. There is no career growth unless you're one of the very few chosen ones - the ones who have friends in senior leadership. Favoritism is everything! People who are incompetent and under-qualified get promoted and hired because they know someone in senior leadership. The HR department is a joke, to put it lightly. If you go to them with an issue, they'll put it back on you to resolve it. And they also feed into the gossip mill that runs rampant at Applegate. They'll also go to your manager (and others) and share information that's supposed to be confidential. People in senior leadership roles say completely inappropriate things without consequences or accountability. Ultimately, your experience depends on what team you're on, but most people at the company are absolutely miserable. They've lost so much great talent, and continue to do so, and still .... nothing changes. Well, not for the better anyway.

Pros

Although I worked here for a very short period of time, it seems like a great company to work for. The building/office is aesthetically pleasing. Everyone seems to be polite. Hybrid schedule; 2 wfh, 3 office days. Depending on who you work under, no micromanaging - just get your work done.

Cons

Because they dont have an efficiently working CRM/ERP, it creates a lot of manual reporting and extra work which results in miscommunication within the flow of departments that need to work together for satisfactory results. There also seems to be lack in diversity.
