Valuable Internship Experience - User Interface Designer AppeDine Employee Review

AppeDine was where I grew as a Product Designer and sharpened my skills in designing and presenting my work to users and merchants. The CEO possesses strong expertise in the tech and F&B industry and with her guidance, I received all the necessary feedback to think critically from a user's perspective. AppeDine also puts high emphasis on gathering feedback from merchants and users on how to fine-tune the F&B business model in Singapore which I greatly appreciate. Also, there is a high focus on data and insights based on the interviews conducted with merchants and users. The company is truly data-driven! Next, I am appreciative of the agile methodologies I was taught during the product development process. There's also a high transparency among the members in the team and not to forget, the weekly session when every member shared about challenges faced / achievements within AppeDine. Most of the time, the interns are empowered with the flexibility to map our own working hours. Despite being an intern, I was able to take ownership of the design process at AppeDine with the unwavering support of the CEO and fellow colleagues.

There are no cons to work at Appedine because this couldn't be a more better place especially for undergraduates to truly enhance their skillset and learn more from a highly experienced CEO about the current tech and F&B landscape. In addition, AppeDine provides a good overview of how a MNC actually functions but with the agile methodologies being applied.

Learning the industry best practices of a sales roles - especially beneficial for interns that are looking to pursue sales related roles in the tech industry. CEO is extremely well versed in tech sales and very willing to share her experiences and learning is immense if the intern commits to it.

Fast paced and a lot of independent work needed - not necessarily a bad thing if intern is driven and does not require handholding.
