Pros
Great opportunity, they seem to recognize good help and will reward accordingly for those who step up. Pay was decent.
Cons
Benefits were lame. A lot of "details" were left out during initial interview process. Know what you are getting into 100%. Many of the helicopters sent to our base were older airframes. Most had all sorts of issues that should have been addressed before the helicopter even arrived at our base. Company has multiple bases, they can be vastly different situations at each. Housing provided at the base I worked was mobile homes, much too close to active ramps, like 50 feet so. Getting rest was difficult and compromised safety. As usual, the nurses and medics had superior accommodations to the pilots & mechanics. They expect a lot more than was initially discussed when interviewed. Weird schedules with odd variance between same job title. Management makes a lot of questionable decisions and the situation at our base was unstable and ever changing.
