Pros
When I started there, they were an innovative leader in their industry. They seem to have lost their way, as shown by the extreme turnover in staff over the last 18 months--well over 50%. Their recurring revenue model will support them for a while, but I don't see them ever leading again. But on the positive side, you move up the seniority ladder pretty quick!
Cons
The root cause is a dictatorial founder who cannot delegate and must micromanage everything. While he is brilliant as an engineer, he is abysmal at product design and worse at managing people. God help you if he talks to your customer. Their software is built on an outdated platform and has been subject to many issues that frustrate the customer. They are terrible at meeting customer commitments, and I was no longer willing trade my credibility to cover their inability to deliver. They are terrible at personnel management, setting realistic goals, consistence in evaluations, and responding to the marketplace. They love to blame the messenger when customers are unhappy, and hence the attrition. They blame everything and everyone for their difficulties, rather than look in the mirror.
