Pros

Anvil Publishing will introduce you to the ins and outs of the publishing industry. -Depending on the project you get, you may meet respected members of different industries. -It's a small company so It's easy to know who's who in the office and easy to make new friends. -Last but not the least, you will play a part in bringing books into the world. For a bookworm this is a big deal. And it can be quite fulfilling to see a project you worked hard on the shelves or in the hands of a reader.

Cons

-Not a lot of opportunities for promotions or raises within the company. -It can get overwhelming handling the number of imprints and projects for one person. -Pay is too low for the work assigned, especially for an entry level position.

Pros

This is a competent place where you will learn how the publishing industry in the Philippines works. They can hone your abilities and lets you develop new skills. Employees are well versed in what they do. They also have good benefits.

Cons

It’s very toxic to work in a place where there is office politics. Compensation is too low. The fees for freelancers are not reasonable. Division of task is not clear. There is unfair treatment between employees and management. They don’t give you credits for your hard work. The company has a high turnover rate. Promotion happens once in a blue moon. Management is ignorant of their employees’ work situation.
