Pros

They pay an above average rate.

Cons

•Expect carers to drive many miles for no pay. •Expect carers to give up their time for no pay ( they expect carers to sit in a car unpaid whilst another carer sees to a client ) Zero fairness - clique who are given preferred rounds. •No HR. •Owners / management don’t like to be challenged or receive any constructive criticism. •They don’t value maturity, life experience or professionalism. •Allow staff to work with very little sleep as long as calls are covered - no regard for carer safety. •No open policy - some managers don’t know their own procedures and give conflicting advice. •Continued to send carers into a home were a carer was previously assaulted prior to the conclusion of any investigation. •They charge for uniform. •They charge carers for training in carers own time - essentially charging twice. •Discriminate on the basis of sex alone. They allow carers to choose who they work with purely based on sex alone - in direct contradiction to the Equality Act 2010.

Pros

Really enjoyed my time with Annicare. Great staff that are always happy to help, and do everything they can to get you the work you want as and when you want it. They offered training courses throughout the year, and for a small fee refresher courses that I really enjoyed. I've since been offered a fulltime position elsewhere but i'd always happily go back to Annicare, and several of my friends now work for them.

Cons

They need a bigger office now! The old reception area is filled with employees now
