      Pros

      • Fun work atmosphere (if we aren't laughing it's probably because we're singing) • Wages are based on experience and position (fair pay) • Focused on providing amazing customer service • Very understanding about taking time off • Supportive, open-minded environment (all employees should feel free to share their ideas for the company) • Great relationships with clients

      Cons

      • Customers tend to take advantage of the great customer service • Employees must bring their own equipment (but management will provide software) • No benefits • Can be a tough commute

      Pros

      No free professional editing, formatting, or cover art. Fewer sales. Less than 10% of the current book market. Greater potential to publish crappy books.

      Cons

      You have limited marketing resources (Often times you will have to do your own marketing and sales). There are plenty of guides online to aid you in marketing, but there is an abundance of information, sometimes with conflicting recommendations. Marketing can be overwhelming, but there are contractors or companies to hire for this exact purpose.

      Pros

      - Close-knit and friendly team - Everyone's input is valid - Lots of opportunities to take on challenges and grow skillsets - Fair pay and benefits - Strong focus on helping clients achieve their goals, instead of just selling products

      Cons

      - Commute could be rough (pre-pandemic; we're all working remotely as of the time of writing this) - Small team makes handling many projects at a time difficult
