Pros
- teams are given the autonomy to handle their responsibilities in whatever way works for them - we're always willing to adapt if we think it will improve the quality of our work or the efficiency of our processes - we strive to give honest feedback on work without our egos getting in the way
Cons
This isn't a con, but I think it's worth explaining: we're on the smaller side and so we don't have the capacity put people on performance improvement plans. Instead, we have frequent 1-on-1s with our managers where we give/receive feedback. If things aren't going well even after feedback and they continue to degrade we don't let things fester and instead choose to move on.
