Unprofessional and ugly work culture - Anonymous employee Anderson Design Studio Employee Review

Not many....as others have pointed out, other than necessities such as computer access, clean restrooms, etc there really are no pros of working there.

The owner is condescending and is very cold/ungrateful to her employees. There is no line between her personal/work life and she expects her employees to perform unprofessional and inappropriate tasks such as cleaning up after her dog and most design "projects" are either for her personal loft or farm. There is zero training, no benefits, and virtually no sense of company culture.

I can’t think of one positive thing that isn’t just a basic job necessity. (Clean working environment/bathrooms, no physical danger, the necessary tools to do my job.)

A negative work environment stemming from the owner’s attitude about the business. Expect condescending remarks instead of constructive criticism. Don’t expect any positive feedback. It’s not said, but you’ll feel pressured to work 9+ hrs a day because the other designers do. There are no medical benefits or 401K plan. If you’re not extremely thick skinned and Type A, you’ll be miserable. High stress and cut throat environment.
