Cons
After my experience at Anaplan, I feel obligated to warn potential candidates. The complete lack of a coherent OKR framework creates an environment where goals remain deliberately ambiguous, making it impossible to demonstrate success. This ambiguity appears designed to facilitate easier layoffs, as performance becomes subjective rather than measured against clear objectives. The leadership operates without a unified strategy, resulting in constantly shifting priorities and abandoned initiatives. Resources are routinely misallocated, creating unrealistic deadlines and burnout. The toxic work culture was perhaps most alarming. Office politics dictate advancement, with favorites receiving opportunities while talented team members are sidelined. Cross-functional collaboration is virtually nonexistent due to departmental silos. If you value your time, talent, and wellbeing, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for opportunities where your contributions will be measured fairly and genuinely valued.
