Pros

It's a great place to learn a lot about design and reliable manufacturing. Can get great visibility into industry trends that are maybe 5 years down the road. It's a really stable company, and great for family people.

Cons

It's full of lifers and general product development is rather risk averse. All the lifers really get in the way of getting things done. It's understandable, they wan't to guarantee their job security, but I don't see why they need to impede my projects. I would recommend that young engineers (<35) do not stay more than 3 years, unless they really like petty politics.

Pros

Company made effort to bring in employees together Good mobility within the company- plenty of opportunities to move or transfer to different roles/ departments/ locations

Cons

A lot of different programs or initiatives that didn't go anywhere or result to nothing You think the company cares, but not really. Reorgs and layoffs happens very frequently. Folks who got affected seemed random and not well- thought of.
