Pros
The people come from a wide range of skills. The "Fellows" are willing to spend the time fostering talent. Some divisions are still very open to trying new things. Some departments actively try and raise the skills of the team (team work and training).
Cons
For some departments S.M.A.R.T. goals are not really understood. Today's goal is lost in the noise of day to day work until it comes time for reviews.
