Pros
- Starting pay is good. - Nice starting jobs from a new college graduate. - You can learn a lot and work with smart people.
Cons
- After several years work becomes boring and not being challenged. Discussed with yearly review with manager but no progress made. - Politics are intense and some people promoted twice in a year because they are favorites. - Requested several times to go weekend support but once you don't come then it takes against you. - Yearly increase is very low, although you had outstanding ratings. Some yearly salary increase is below inflation rate. - Immediate manager becomes personal before exit and quote "if you ever come back here then I wont hire you". But after working 3 months on a different company I got an unsolicited request from that same manager saying if I could work back to the team. That is a disaster and I never looked back!
