Cons

- Turbulent few years-- leadership losing the trust of employees - No 401k match yet

Pros

Great onboarding (as in, there actually is one, live with real people) Great workplace flexibility Amazing co-workers Clear vision from the leadership

Cons

Does require in-office in Seattle and NY, but the company is flexible in that regards Offers options instead of RSUs (which could impact your interest)

Pros

I think every year I've been here I update my review and it loses another star. If I averaged out my whole experience at this company over 4-5 years I'd give it 3 stars, but if you started here tomorrow it's a solidly 1 star experience. What's still working well: hardly anything. I used to say "the people" but essentially everyone who made this place enjoyable to work at has left and the remaining few are two-feet out the door. The benefits are still decent but they've scaled back everything to the bare minimum in recent months and call us "entitled" for complaining.

Cons

The original CEO has returned after leaving for what was widely known as problematic reasons and has driven the little bit of culture this place had left directly into the ground. There is an antagonistic relationship between leadership and employees. Feedback is actively discouraged (they will pretend otherwise, but their actions do not support their words) and you are looked down upon for speaking out. Everything is on fire all the time, everyone who knew how it all worked has left, and the remaining few who have stayed and survived layoffs are expected to hold it all together with a fraction of the resources and zero of the moral support. Absolutely no career growth in the engineering org, and year over year raises are nearly nothing. Are there worse places to work? Sure, but at least those places pay better.
