Getting paid was the best thing possible.

I worked in the Customer Onboarding department at Americold and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The leadership — both from my direct manager and director — lacked transparency, accountability, and support. There was very little guidance or meaningful engagement from the top, which often left the team confused and unsupported. The overall team culture was toxic. Rather than collaboration, the environment was filled with cliques, gossip, and drama. It often felt like professionalism took a back seat to personal agendas. Communication within the group was poor, and trust was hard to build when coworkers were more focused on undermining one another than working together. There are talented individuals here, and the company has potential, but unless there’s a serious shift in leadership style and team dynamics, I wouldn’t recommend this environment to anyone seeking a healthy, growth-oriented workplace.

Effective leadership requires professionalism, ethical conduct, and genuine accountability — qualities that are unfortunately absent in some management roles, to the detriment of the employees they oversee.
