Pros
American Robotics is a great place to work. They go out of their way to hire people who are not only well qualified, but also great to work with. There are a lot of over-inflated egos in this field, but not at AR. The people here come to work every day, roll up their sleeves, and get things done. Everyone at AR is invested in the future success of the company. Work-life balance is also a priority here. Many employees have families and other priorities outside of the work place. AR's flexible work schedule and overall culture is very amenable to this.
Cons
Like any engineering company that's in startup mode, there are the usual growing pains. For example, cutting teeth on processes, productivity tools, etc. But AR is making good progress in these areas. There are some gaps in areas such as IT support, etc., but the hope is that these can be filled quickly through aggressive hiring.
