      Pros

      Work life balance is great and I've received more responsibilities as managment has recongized my skillset.

      Cons

      Brookfield acquired American National in May 2022 and have started to micromanage everything and can be demanding and require additional work outside your normal role. The other downside is a lack of bonus or pay increases in lower levels of the company.

      There is little incentive for long-term loyalty. Compensation appears to be based on legacy pay structures, resulting in new hires sometimes receiving higher starting salaries than long-tenured employees with extensive institutional knowledge and expertise in company processes.
