Pros
You get to work in beautiful places and alongside dedicated volunteers ... but you could get that at any other similar organization
Cons
An extremely misogynistic work environment at the management level. They expect you to work more than 40 hours but frown upon you for keeping a track of all those hours. There is no overtime pay. every few weeks they just ask you to take a day or two off for all the extra time you've accumulated. There is a expected culture of overworking and underpaying at least the female employees. Extremely terrible communication in the workplace which consists of a complete lack of communication or miscommunication. They hire you at a low salary promising career and skill development but as soon as you sign the contract, career development is out the window. There is no real HR department if anyone should have any issues. I was beyond miserable working for this organization. They definitely exploit the enthusiasm and naivete of the young.
