Pros

The team was genuinely the strongest part of the experience. I worked with smart, supportive people who made difficult days much easier to get through.

Cons

The CEO’s leadership style felt extremely short-sighted, with reactive decision-making that often created more problems than it solved long term. • There was a noticeable lack of accountability at the executive level, especially when poor decisions came from leadership. • Favoritism played a major role in advancement and recognition, which hurt trust across teams. • Employees were expected to “do more with less” constantly because the company refused to properly invest in tools, systems, or infrastructure. • Spending oversight became excessive and counterproductive under leadership. Even basic operational purchases like €20 zip tie turned into an unnecessary CEO approval process.

Pros

The people and the work environment! It's so cool to have people from diverse backgrounds and experiences and who are open-minded. Also, the workplace is cool, well located in Barcelona, with all you need to be efficient and help the property managers that use Amenitiz on a daily basis.

Cons

Mind that Amenitiz is a growing company and there are some flaws when you compare it to bigger or more famous ones. Nevertheless, it is a challenge to seize and prepare to be involved in its management. In the end, it's like a family, it's not perfect but if you are hard-working, empathic and positive, the experience is not gonna be that bad.

Pros

- International environment - Cool team buildings, parties, and afterworks. – Opportunity to buy refurbished MacBooks. - Higher pay compared to most Spanish companies in the industry.

Cons

This review is based on my personal experience working at Amenitiz for 1.5 years. During that time, I saw firsthand how poorly managed this company is. Leadership operates in a strict vertical hierarchy where input from employees is disregarded, and overworking is glorified as part of the “fast-paced environment.” In reality, the chaos comes from a complete lack of organization, structure, and expertise, which forces employees to work under constant urgency and pressure. Burnout is extremely common, turnover is incredibly high and so are layoffs. The company claims to have strong values, but these are nothing more than a facade—there’s no alignment between what they preach and how they actually operate. I also witnessed and heard about deeply disturbing and unacceptable behavior from people in power. Multiple complaints were filed with HR, yet the company chose to look the other way instead of taking action. Additionally, I personally heard racist and misogynistic comments from leadership, which contributed to an overall toxic work environment. There’s little to no flexibility when it comes to remote work, and leadership has made it clear that this won’t change. What’s worse is that HR and management are fully aware of how employees feel and what needs to be improved—they just don’t care enough to fix it. Again, this is just my personal experience, and others may feel differently. But if you’re considering working here, I’d recommend thinking twice. The stress, lack of respect, and high turnover speak for themselves.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the international team, the energy, and the culture of connection we work hard to build. We also want to acknowledge the seriousness of the concerns you’ve raised. While we’re not aware of multiple formal complaints of this nature, we want to be clear: we do not tolerate racism, misogyny, or any form of discrimination at Amenitiz. When concerns are brought forward, we have processes in place to address them thoroughly and confidentially. On the topic of pressure, we hold high standards, but we do not celebrate overwork. Building a fast-scaling company comes with challenges, and we’re constantly evolving how we support our teams to thrive in a sustainable, respectful environment. We know not every experience is the same, and we take this kind of feedback seriously as we continue to grow and improve. We wish you all the best in your next chapter.
