Pros
- Little to none interaction with other employees (perfect for introverts) - Consistent schedule (my schedule was W-Sat 9pm-6:30am) - Could use PTO to leave mid-shift - Great benefits (health, dental, vision etc.) - Career choice program provides employees with educational opportunities like college, but they have to be employed for a certain amount of days before being qualified
Cons
- If you were good at one role, managers kept you on there for the whole 10 hour shift (for example, I was often put on pick which was physically demanding and damaging to my legs and knees) - Very mundane and boring - If you are a people person, there is very little social interaction unless you join the management team - Managers are hyperfixated on rates, people are expected to meet a certain threshold in their roles
