Pros

The computers and the pay.

Cons

One of the people on the team was unable to attend the initial meeting with the CEO David Silverstein. They had to do a presentation about mental health at an elementary school or something. This was brought up at the start of the meeting, and the CEO responded with something to the equivalent of, “I don’t know why people go to elementary schools to talk about mental health..at that point you’re creating the problem”. Most professionals that have worked with children, youth, and families or even some people who have experienced or witnessed trauma at a young age could point out why this statement is problematic. Add to the fact of him speaking about someone while they aren’t present to defend themselves and in a tone that reflects opposition to what they’re doing. Add to the fact the very clientele of the company consists of elementary age children receiving care. His actions were inappropriate. Next, the communication is below expectation. You may go to training for one thing, be told something different from someone in the position you’re training for, then be told something different from the supervisor of the position you’re training for, all for the CEO to have a different expectation from all of the above. It's an extremely confusing and unnecessarily stressful work environment because you never know if you’re doing something right or wrong and when you ask they will just say “you’re doing an amazing job, this stuff takes time”. Finally, someone in leadership disclosed that the CEO made a financial decision to hire employees prior to actually having the funds to pay these employees, and when the funds didn’t come he just let them go. No heads up or anything, it was a decision that took immediate effect and left employees without jobs Those employees were told, “it’s literally the companies bad”, and were forced to move on with limited closure and transparency other than that. To speak on the diversity of the company it is extremely lacking. Majority of leadership positions are white or white passing, and the number of Black, Indegenious, People of Color is EXTREMELY lacking. To the point of bias and lack of awareness being accepted as a norm of the organization. For individuals who identify or align with something other than the standard of whiteness I strongly encourage you to NOT work for this company. For those that decide to work with this company, best of luck to you. I hope this review helps.

Pros

I have worked for Amaze Health for years and love it. This is a place where patient care is the center of everything. I feel free to take care of patients, spend the time they need and to help them make the best decisions for their healthcare. It is really been a breath of fresh air to have so many like minded providers collaborate and give great care to patients. I never feel alone or stranded to "figure out what needs to be done on my own." Additionally there are weekly meetings with everyone at the company so that ideas flow easily and everyone's opinion is important! Excellent place to work and would recommend without hesitation.

Cons

This is a start up so you have to know that there is work outside your "usual" job to be done but so rewarding.

Pros

The pay was okay for the job.

Cons

You are not treated with respect at this company. Management feels as though they can talk down to you and you are not allowed to voice your concerns nor are you allowed to give feedback. If you voice any concerns at this company that management does not agree with you will be fired. The owner of this company talks about his employees and their personal business to other employees within the company. If you are not white, you might as well not apply to this job because you will be treated poorly while your white colleagues are treated well. There is no diversity at this company whatsoever and it is apparent. This company does not follow safe practices when it comes to safeguarding the personal and private information of patients. There are no raises or incentives.
