Pros

Pretty flexible if you have to work from home or alter your schedule to accommodate an appointment. Coworkers are nice.

Cons

Huge miscommunication between management and the team. Guidelines and directive constantly change without the team being notified. Management only concerned about $ being made (premiums) all day everyday to the point that they constantly nag and harass you to "being in the big bucks". AmTrust compared to other carriers sucks when it comes to pricing, guidelines and coverage offered. Management will be quick to turn on you and bend over backwards for a broker/agent if they complain about something. Computer systems and servers always crash and practically never work properly. Company doesn't provide office supplies.

Pros

Co-workers are amazing. Managers are helpful.

Cons

Rolling out an incomplete new operating system was a horrible idea. Creates additional work for adjusters. The processes being implemented are hindering the ability to effectively close claims. Adjusters are being told to do more with less every day. Claim counts average 180 to 200 for the last 6 months with no relief in sight. Hybrid work was promised at 2 home and 3 in office. That was recently revoked and it is now mandatory 4 days in office. With gas prices what they are, that really hurts. Corporate management seems to be focused more on obtaining #1 status and bringing in the big bucks than finding a way to relieve the stress on their employees. Mental health is non existent and if you aren't putting in 50+ hours a week there is no way to stay on top of your work load. Even then you will feel like you are barely treading water. New NICE phone system is for call centers-not claim adjusters. Not a lot of advancement opportunities unless you are someone's pet. Benefits are mediocre at best.
