Alzar brings together some really wonderful people to provide powerful experiences for our students. The two campuses, in Idaho and Chile, are beautiful and inspiring. As a relatively young organization, it continues to grow and improve each year, and takes its mission seriously.

We all wear many hats and there is plenty to do. Employees should be ready to work hard and it is important to celebrate the successes, as there are challenging times too. Many of the positions involve significant time away from home.

Growth and professional development if you put in effort and take opportunities. Working in both Chile and Idaho, allowing for great access and ability to live in destination places. Strong community and staff commitment to creating a positive student experience. Dynamic work environment and continuous engagement. Working with teens keeps this work engaging, exciting, and stretches growth edges. Being able to see individuals grow (staff and students) throughout a semester is really rewarding.

Work-life separation is difficult if you do not actively seek it out. Alzar staff and faculty are a big part of your community and it is easy to mix personal life and work life. Demanding workload being at a 24/7 operating boarding school during the academic school year. Not at 9-5. While schedules are created for the semester, they can vary at different points in the semester depending on organizational needs.
