Pros
Working at Altrium has been one of the best experiences in my career so far. The company has an exceptional work culture where people truly value collaboration, learning, and mutual respect. Everyone, from team members to leadership, is approachable and open to ideas and feedback. The work environment is very supportive. Whether you’re just starting or have years of experience, you’re encouraged to ask questions, try new things, and grow. We also get great exposure to how things work in Silicon Valley, including access to cutting-edge technology and modern engineering practices. It’s a great place if you want to stay current and sharp in your tech skills. Something that made a strong impression on me happened on my very first day at Altrium. The CEO told us that whether you’re an intern or the CEO, it doesn’t matter, everyone should be treated with the same respect, regardless of designation or seniority. What really counts here is the value of your ideas and your contributions. Hearing that from the top gave me a lot of confidence and showed me what kind of culture the company stands for. That message was later put to the test, and the company truly lived up to it. There was a situation where an intern faced some difficulties with a supervising associate lead who was playing a significant role. The supervisor’s behavior was not in line with the culture and values we follow at Altrium, and it became a stressful experience for the intern. When this was brought to the attention of the leadership team, they acted quickly and with full transparency. An inquiry was put in place, and soon after, the senior team member who had behaved inappropriately left the company. It showed clearly that no matter your role, if you go against the company’s culture or mistreat others, it will not be tolerated. I found this very reassuring because it shows that the leadership doesn’t just talk about values, they actually live by them.
Cons
Nothing significant, but the workload can be tough at times. However, I believe it’s within an acceptable level for the IT industry, especially when working with cutting-edge clients based in the US. The fast-paced environment can be demanding, but it’s also part of what makes the work exciting and rewarding. In fact, some of the tougher situations I faced helped me grow much faster than many of my peers in other organizations. It pushed me to develop not just technical skills, but also confidence and resilience.
